Small kids. Big dreams. PDF Print E-mail

As the eldest child of immigrants I grew up watching my parents struggle in America.

Too poor to afford many luxuries, my father would purposely speed past Chicago's amusement park (Six Flags Great America) claiming that the corn fields around us were all part of "Great America". "Great America is everywhere!" was his ongoing motto. My siblings and I would fall down in our car seats, after passing happy families on the highway exiting to the theme park, and accepted the fact that we were to spend the weekend swinging on a tire swing over the Mississippi river. We created our own theme park. That was Great America, for us.

And. It was awesome.

Nothing warms my heart more than seeing an ambitious tiny person. Like my Jay. The video below is a tear-jerking, must-watch, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND WATCH kinda of video. Trust me, it will make your day. Cheers to small kids with big dreams!

My dad always told me there were only two rules to success:

1. Dream big.

2. Find something you love to do, and then find someone who will pay you to do it.

I was teary eyed after watching the video. But it really made me smile. I was touched by his perseverance in such a young age. I'm sure he will do good in business someday.
