After a full day of driving through Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York we reached Ontario, Canada and took in the scenery from our porch at Blue Mountain Ski Resort.

There was only one thing that the kiddos wanted to do after a long day in the car. They wanted to swim outside in Canada in December.

These kiddos thought it was THE most awesome thing they've ever done.

They swam under the snow for hours.

Surrounded by 15 family members.

Not a bad way to end 2011.

OK, so I feel like I'm stalking you. We recently went to Castaway Bay and when I was looking for a video to show the kids before we went, I found yours. Now, this place has been on my to-do list and there you are! Can't wait to read the review

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it there! So happy that you're able to experience the hot tub amidst the snow - we usually go up to Blue Mountain this time of year but missed it this year. Too bad, we could have run into you and your family!
Lucky that snow finally fell, too
Happy New Year Pauline!

Not a bad way to end it at all. I love Blue Mountain. They've made major improvements since IntraWest took them over. We drive there a lot from Detroit because it's like a little Whistler, but close.

How awesome. I had no idea!

We did that at the Blie Lagoon in Iceland ten years ago. There is nothing like it. It would be 100% more exciting to experience that as a kid with all of that wide eye'd wonder though. What a fun memory for them!

SUCH awesome memories you're making, P! If I was a kid I'd be talking about that forever. ha!
