|A Croctober Brunch|

This past weekend, I entertained a dozen girlfriends at my home for brunch. The theme was simple, October & Crocs = Croctober.
I reused the decorations that we've accumulated throughout the years for our annual Halloween party.
And I didn't lift a finger before the brunch. Luckily for me, I live in-between many awesome Jewish deli's that deliver lox, like Dominio's delivers pizza. We had salad and sandwiches too. All of which I re-plated onto my white plates to make it seem more "home-made-ish" and, boy, did I trick a couple of friends that begged for the strawberry chicken salad recipe until I finally caved and admitted to catering the entire brunch. I did iron the tablecloth!
The conversation during brunch was endless and my cheeks hurt from laughing.
I displayed all the new crocs styles around my mantel.
I added an extra guest, a week before my brunch, to our girlfriend brunch.
"I'm a size 11. Crocs look ridiculous on me!"
"Look at my mantel of shoes. These aren't the crocs, that you think they are!"
"Those are crocs?!?!"
Yes, yes they are!
And then, we tried on shoes and it felt just like college. "Wow, yours are way cooler than mine!" "No way, look at how awesome you look in those, can I borrow them?" "You look amazing!" "Those were made for you!"
From my college roommate whom introduced me to my hubs (Thank You Kelly!), to my very first friend that I met when I was just eight-years-old (Thanks for being there, Renata!).
We were reunited, under one roof, for the love of shoes.
